FlyFF Team <3's U 150% EXP Event

Last night (Japan time) the FlyFF servers were down for a few hours (Over 5) and so the GM's have decided to extend the 1.5x exp event.

Nice.

They even updated the graphic. How pro!

Still, it's made things easy to find an Advanced Party with Red Scroll. W00T!

I don't like the Forsaken Tower

In future I will steer clear of the Forsaken Tower, why? Simply because the drops suck.

I know that the Tower is a great place to mindlessly grind to get up those levels, but if that's all you are doing and not being rewarded for it, I'll pass. When I am hunting for Quest Items in Darkon 3, I am still getting the same experience but I find that the Blue Item drops are much better and the QI more valuable.

I am doing all of the quests along the way and even saving up QI for the Master level quests, so I don't have to hunt the same mob again.

Another player came up to me and offered me 10mil for 20 Eronsmith, 500K each? how could I refuse! Metal Hearts that drop from Azuras sell for 15K each, MAX. Higher level QI are often much more valuable than the items that drop in Azria because they take a little more work to obtain and too many people say "the exp sucks, it's too far between mobs, it'll take too long." and so avoid Darkon 3.

Great.

If I'm getting the odd great drop like a truly valuable QI or the odd Blue or Moonstone / Sunstone, I feel pretty happy about the training session and am happy to continue.

If I'm training in Azria I often feel pressure to earn back the "value" of my ticket, and that sucks the fun out of playing the game faster than a fart gets people out of the elevator. I have stacks of Azria tickets, but I've decided to save them for when there are EXP events or after I take the Master quest.

AFK shouting

There are many things in FlyFF that irritate me.

1 Penya Scammers.
2 The Dekane Mines quest.
3 Account Sharing.
4. AFK shouters.

AFK shouting is people who set up a shout on a function key, put something heavy on that key so that their one line shout will repeat five times a minute.

Get a couple of these people on your server and the shout screen fills up quickly.

Unusually it's something like this

"Azria tickets 10M, Pet Feed 80, Awakened greens. Shop near Darkon Food"

Or

"Selling awakened LGG +10 4/4 DexB +5Electric. Mail me. AFK"

When the shouter puts AFK in their line, it's like they are painting a target on themselves.

So far I've reported 7 people for AFK shouting, and I've since heard that someone else has been given a 3 day ban for it. And they weren't even someone I reported, so I'm not the only one out there reporting AFK shouters.

If you want to sell items when you aren't at your computer, set up a shop AND put a listing on the forums. It's not hard and doesn't spoil things for the rest of us.

Roanin's Magic Level Box Event

What an awesome event this was. So many people got cool items like Amps, Reversions & Azria 7 & 15 day tickets.

I got about 50 boxes through this event and I managed to blow ALL of my cash on cheap reversions to improve my Rodey set.
I've gotten a few new nice awakenings, including a big improvement on my Legendary Golden Gloves.

Now I just have to find a few Emeralds so I can take it to Ultimate. At 25M for an Emerald, 10M for a shining Oricalkum and an Xpro (I have 40 from the half price event) and it will be a truly expensive activity to upgrade an ultimate weapon.

FlyFF Quest Items

One thing that annoys me about other FlyFF players is how they don't know the value of quest items.

Quest Items (QI) can only be used in three ways.

1. To hand in for a quest (duh!)
2. To increase your guild level (Read my guide how to do this)
3. To grind into pet feed.

THATS ALL.

There is a giant difference in valuebetween the QIs that are useful for quests and those that arent. For example, Mysterious Eyeballs which drop from Cyclops X sell for about 300K-500K on Glaphan but Metal Hearts which drop from Azuras sell for 15K-20K.

They both drop from L116 mobs and are just as difficult / easy to get, so why is there a difference in value.

You can turn the Mysterious Eyeball in for the L116 quest but the Metal Hearts are only useful for improving a guild's level or grinding into pet feed.

Only the quest items on this list will have any decent resale value, otherwise just grind anything else up and sell them as pet feed. And please don't embarras yourself trying to sell QIs from Azria or the Tower at the same value as regular QIs, it labels you as a noob.
